Creamy Syrup

Here is a recipe my Aunt Effie sent to me and I have been dipping my French toast into it ever since. My kids love it as well.

Creamy Syrup
2 cups white sugar
1 cube real butter (1/4 pound)
1 cup buttermilk
Blend in large pan and bring to a boil.
Take off heat and add:
1 tsp soda
2 tsp vanilla

Looking for a nice blueberry recipe.

Sounds really really good. Does it store well? I have a recipe similar that does not. Just curious. I will checkout the Internet and see what I can find for you.

I don't know if it stores well. I make it in small batches and so it is usually gone in a few days. I do keep it in the fridge and have never had any problems. I alway warm it up and dip hot homemade bread into a bowl of the syrup.
